For the first time since April, the Warriors' practice facility in downtown Oakland played host to the players Monday.

Seven showed up to work out in preparation for training camp, which begins Friday.

"You don't understand what you are missing until you don't have it," David Lee said.

Lee was joined by Stephen Curry, Dorell Wright, Jeremy Lin, and rookies Klay Thompson and Jeremy Tyler. After stretching and shooting around, they played some three-on-three games. Warriors' athletic trainers were on hand to watch the workouts.

Players have been allowed to use team facilities since Thursday, though the new collective bargaining agreement has yet to be ratified. Monday was the first time multiple Warriors took advantage of the facility.

Lou Amundson was also at the facility but didn't work out. Ekpe Udoh, who showed up later than the rest of the crew, worked out alone after the others cleared the court. But before he hit the hardwood, he had a chance to catch up with assistant coach Mike Malone. The NBA, on Monday morning, informed teams they are allowed to talk with players, though they can't coach them.

It was the latest sign that basketball is closer to returning.

There hadn't been this many Warriors in one room since the We Believe charity game in early November in San Jose. Curry said the hope is that the entire team would join them by Wednesday -- including Monta Ellis and Andris Biedrins, who have been out of sight during the NBA lockout. Golden State is hoping to hit the ground running in training camp.

"Guys who put in the work over the summer, they are going to endure" said Curry, noting he's put on 10 pounds thanks to five weightlifting sessions a week.
